Texas Department of Transportation officials Wednesday (Dec. 31)  announced that various entrance/exit ramps to and from will be closed at the following locations, dates and times

  • US 75 northbound entrance from Blythe Road to be closed for few hours on Jan. 5 and again on Jan. 8 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • Likewise, US 75 northbound exit to Haning Street to be closed for few hours on Jan. 6 and again on Jan. 7 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

These closures are needed to safely perform the overlay work on the frontage roads. Closing the ramps will mitigate the potential for frequent instances of traffic veering off their lane. It will also mitigate the potential for driver confusion. Crews will be laying hot mix asphalt overlay on the frontage roads. The closure will allow for the hot mix asphalt to cool down before it is opened to traffic. Message boards will be placed ahead of the ramps to alert drivers.
