This calendar is available to any business, church, organization, school, and/or individual who has an upcoming event that is open to the public. Who, what, when, where… There is never a charge for a listing. Just send the information via email to maryjane@sceneintown.com or message via Facebook on Mary Jane Farmer’s profile/page.The calendar does not only list the upcoming fun things, but also the more necessary events, such as City Council or other government meetings, VAISD meetings and happenings (when made available) and so much more.

America 250 Reading Challenge – Texans of all ages are invited to earn 2,500 minutes of reading, visiting city & state parks, and community service activities in honor of our nation’s 250th anniversary. For more information, visit cityofvanalstyne.us/America250Challenge
 
America’s 250th Year— The city’s Parks & Recreation is encouraging residents to honor the 250th year of America having been its own, independent nation by decorating homes in colors and items that will honor the birthday.
