Caroline Aiken coming to Harmony House
Written by Mary Jane Farmer on 30 October 2011

From a personal note sent to the friends of the Harmony House concert series, hosted by Faye Wedell and Scott Lipsett. This house concert series offers music lovers an up-close concert with (usually) acoustic artists from around the U.S. and beyond. There’s limited seating and reservations are suggested.

Hello, Harmony House Concert friends! It’s only two weeks until Caroline Aiken’s show here with us on Saturday night, November 12th, 7-9 pm. The optional potluck will be before the show.
We’d love to have you join us for this performance by the incredible Caroline Aiken. To find out all the details about the show and how to make reservations, go to our Website, www.WildscapeAcres.com. Click on the Harmony House Concert link. Then, click on the date of Caroline’s show, and you’ll see the flier with all the details. If you have further questions…e.g. how to get to Wildscape Acres, just call. I can send a .pdf file with directions by e-mail or give you the physical address if you have a GPS. We do not advertise our physical address on our website.
One fan of Caroline’s shared an interesting story about her recently. He said that he was just hanging out at Camp Nash Bill (Bill Nash’s campsite at Kerrville Folk Festival, which just happens to be right beside Camp Nashville)….lots of playing going on all hours of the day and night by some of “the best”! Anyway, Caroline came riding up on her bicycle with her guitar slung over her shoulder. She stopped to join in and when it came her turn, she played a few tunes……those gathered around, including my friend, just became mesmerized by her songs and talent! She had a “captive audience” of previous and new fans….no one was ready for her to leave, but she finally got back on her bike and moseyed down the path to explore other camps!
If you play to prepay, please do so this week…to give me ample time to get it from my P.O. Box. If not, please plan to pay at the door (at the table for Reservation Check-Ins in the dining room). All checks to be made out to Caroline Aiken, please.
A note to the wise: It’s probably better to call for reservations (leave a message, if no one answers), because online time is dwindling these days. Don’t want to disappoint anyone. I will send out a Reservation Confirmation list for those with reservations to check about one week before the show….you can let me know if I made any errors, etc.
Best,
Faye & Scott
