A new organization in the works to be known as “Always There” is hosting its first fundraising concert Saturday in Garland. The objective is to raise money to assist fire departments in that area whose budgets were bruised with the summer’s bouts of excessive brush fires.
This first concert is being held at the Garland Plaza Theatre, 521 W. State Street on the downtown square in Garland. It begins at 7:30 p.m. Artists giving of their time and talent include several young artists of the area.
Chastity Rosshas a unique voice that works well with blues, gospel, jazz, pop, rock, or country, and she has a knack for adding a special emotion to each note, word, and line that hooks in audience in and makes the song come alive.

Amber Carrington is another up-and-coming artists, although she has been amazing her audience for years. She’s got a management team which will be meeting in Nashville in the near future, to take her to the next level.
Also on the line-up is Billy Joe Howard, “The Texoma Blues Man” who has performed on the same stage for many big names, such as Willie and Waylon, Fleetwood Mac, Hank Williams Jr., and such. His CD best depicts not only his music, as it should, but also his character. Just an aside, but Billy Joe played every instrument on the CD.

Stacy Musgrove, a third-generation Texas rancher and counry music performer. Country, yes, and someone said, “Remember Will Rogers?” ‘nuf said.
Last, and not least, on the line-up is Dion Pride, also a Nashville country recording artist like his daddy is. Vibrant with down-home charm hasn’t eluded him, and his music reflects is natural charisma.
