Police Activity through Jan. 20, 20256
Van Alstyne Police Chief Tim Barnes asked that people wanting to know the road conditions from ‘here to there’ to not call the police station for that. He said the dispatchers don’t know any more than the callers do and that it ties up their incoming telephone lines that are essential to those needing first responder assistance.
TxDOT has given a number just for the purposing of learning the safety status of the area’s roadways. That number is 1-800-452-9292 and is available around the clock.
