Songwriters Showcase, Love & War
Tuesday night, (Feb. 7, 2012) three great local songwriters joined on the Love & War outside stage in a songswap that produced an incredible variety of songs and showed off the mutual respect of one artist for another. Mark David Manders leads these regular events and this week had Scott Sean White and Jay Johnson with him, in addition to guitarist Mark Lafon, who added background to most songs, even those he’d never heard before. He dazzled the songwriters as he caught on quickly to their tunes and added his own embellishments to them.
Mark David’s large dimple showed often as watched Scott Sean and Jay during their songs. These go on every Tuesday, beginning about 7:30 p.m., and there’s never a cover charge.
Take it on the road, guys! It would be a sell-out everywhere!
