Victor Gann, an incredible guitar picker, is also the 501(c)3 Raylyn’s Heart Foundation. Raylyn was a infant who developed heart problems demanding considerable medical attention. The problem is called Dilated Cardiomyopathy, and is a rare condition that effects one out of every 100,000 births. It’s a heart disease that occurred after birth due to a viral infection.
Wanting to help out, family and friends created the foundation as a fundraising non-profit group.This year, March 15 (the Ideas of March), they held their second yearly event, Ray Rock. A mix of musicians brought ballads, jazz, blues, country, rock, and probably some other genres, too, to the Campus Theater in Denton. Great incredible sound, great incredible music, and the crew was even greater and more incredible! Such love.
The photos here are in the order of the groups’ appearance on the line-up, all giving of their time. No photos of the first performer, Alyssa Reynolds, but her set was just as enthralling.
