He came, he played, he conquered. That about sums up Aaron Watson and his band’s first gig in the Grand Theater, Choctaw Casino, Friday (Dec. 9). It was the first time that a Texas/Red Dirt Band has played in the Grand Theater, which hosts a myriad of musicians of all ages and genres. It won’t be the last.
For this concert, Choctaw producers left the floor in front of the stage empty of its normal seating arrangements, allowing for moshing and close-up views of the band. Aaron, and the guys in the band, interacted quite often with those ‘moshers,’ have had so many friends and fans at this show.
