Denison’s Music on Main 2015 line-up announced

The countdown to an unforgettable season of free concerts under the stars Denison, Texas, is underway! The Levitt AMP [Denison] Music Series (aka Music on Main)  announced its impressive lineup of artists who will perform at Heritage Park each Friday at 7:30 p.m. from May 29 to July 31. So grab your family, friends and neighbors and get ready to head on down to Denison’s newest community treasure!

Sponsored in part by Levitt Pavilions, the national non-profit behind the largest free concert series in America and a pioneer in transforming neglected public spaces into thriving destinations through the power of live music, the Levitt AMP [Denison] Music Series will present 10 free, family-friendly concerts to the public this summer at Heritage Park, 320 W. Main at Burnett. The series will feature a diverse lineup of high-caliber talent spanning genres like country, blues, and rock.

Everyone is invited to bring their own picnics, blankets and lawn chairs to the concerts, which will have an open-lawn setting, food vendors, and special activities. The Levitt AMP concert series is located at 320 W. Main at the corner of Main and Burnett in downtown Denison. Admission is free.

Last December, Denison, as a Main Street city, was named one of 10 small- to mid-sized cities across America to win a Levitt AMP [Your City] Grant Award of $25K in matching funds to present a free concert series in 2015. In an effort to inspire and engage communities across the country around the power of creative placemaking, Levitt invited the public to choose the Top 20 Finalists through online voting.
