Vendors are being sought and plans are being made, all getting ready for the first-ever Summer’s End Jam, Saturday, Aug. 15. Beginning around 5 p.m., the Summer’s End Jam is hosted by the Joshua’s Crossing Church of Denison, and to be held in its parking lot, 7201 FM 691, which is just west of the Grayson County College campus.

Organizer Kris Hair said this will be a family-friendly, back-to-school night of Christian J.C posterfellowship and music.

There will be four bands playing, with musicians from King’s Trail Cowboy Church, Temple Baptist Church and Heavy Reign joining the Joshua’s Crossing band on stage. All kicked off with the music from one acoustic duo. Ice chests and lawn chairs are welcome, but no alcohol permitted. There will be hot dogs for the kids.

No charge to attend, and donations will be accepted to offset expenses. And the fellowship has plans to make this an annual event.

There is also no charge for vendors, but anyone interested does need to fill out an application. For information on that or anything else regarding this unique event, call Kris Hair at 903-487-6440.
