Socially Acceptable Testical Festival — “What?” you exclaim!
This fundraiser, the first Socially Acceptable Testical Festival, for men’s cancer issues was also a fun-raiser for everybody. Held at Love & War in Texas, the Grapevine location, all day Saturday, June 13. Nashville/Texas songwriter Austin Cunningham organized it, with a lot of help from Tory Phelps and Tye Phelps, of Love & War in Texas.
Two stages, one indoor featuring acoustic acts and the other outdoor with (mostly) full bands. Other activities included a brisket cook-off, an attempt to beat the world record for the number of mountain oysters
eaten in a specific time, the crowing of the festival queen, and a horseshoe tournament, which didn’t quite get off the ground. There was even one proposal — she said yes!
Lots of photos taken, and they are divided here accordingly. (Flickr now inserts its own advertising photos in between the ones you’ll be looking at, so please — feel free to ignore or peruse their pix as you chose.
