New Year’s Eve at Southern Junction Steakhouse & Dancehall in Rockwall delivered all the fun of the holiday with great music, great service and, as always, great food. And the night ushered in a promise of more greatness in 2015.
The Casey Donahew Band followed Big Gus & Swampadelic, and both had dancers on the floor all night. Others in the packed out (every table and every chair had been reserved ahead of time) had traditional noise-makers for the big moment. Staff handed out champagne glasses and champagne to everyone, and Casey Donahew led the midnight toast, just before the balloons dropped from their overhead cocoons. High fives, hugs, and kisses filled those few minutes from midnight on, and then the dancers picked up the beat.
